Our mandate is to enhance the well-being and quality of life for Albertans with developmental disabilities living in the Vegreville region. We support adults with varying abilities by raising awareness of their rights and services available to them and their families, resolving issues and promoting inclusion.

We assist people with developmental disabilities uphold their rights by speaking with others and raising awareness of problems, while seeking solutions through outcomes-based initiatives. We work hard at campaigning for social change by speaking with media, government and local officials to raise awareness and highlight challenges where people with disabilities are treated unfairly or who are at risk of being disadvantaged or treated improperly as a result of their disability.

Advocacy means different things to different people. It could mean connecting you with resources in your community or supporting you to advocate for the services you may need. We will do our best to connect you with the right person or organization to help you best meet your needs.
