Security Worker
Our security team is there to protect the health and safety of our staff in the event the individual starts to escalate into risky behaviours which may put staff at risk. There are safety measures and protocols in place in the event we do have an escalated individual, and all procedures are designed for staff safety first and foremost. Security staff do not provide direct supports to the individuals we serve, though they often interact with them throughout their shift.
Security staff work alongside front line staff to keep staff safe and must demonstrate flexibility and creativity, positivity and be a good communicator. Often, simply having that second set of eyes on any given situation is enough to keep the peace. Security are also expected to submit reports on anything they might observe during the course of their shift.
Security shifts are also very flexible, with day shifts, evening shifts, sleep shifts, 24 hour and 48 hour agreements all available. Security shifts typically run in 12 hour cycles, 9a-9p and 9p-9a.
A background in security is preferred but not required. Training will be provided.
